SMART FEATURES

The sensor can be integrated with compatible Zigbee smart home devices to create useful automation scenarios.

For example, it can be combined with compatible smart watering equipment to help automate plant watering based on soil moisture levels.

DATA UPDATES

To help reduce power consumption, sensor data is updated when a significant change is detected.

Data may be updated when:
• Soil moisture changes by approximately 3%
• Temperature changes by approximately 0.3°C
• Air humidity changes by approximately 5%

INSTALLATION

1. Make sure the sensor surface is clean before installation.
2. Insert approximately two-thirds of the sensor probe into the soil.
3. Make sure the sensing area has proper contact with the soil.
4. Wait approximately 30–60 seconds for the initial measurement.
5. Connect the sensor to your compatible Zigbee system according to the selected version.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION

• A compatible Zigbee Gateway is required.
• Zigbee Gateway is not included.
• ZHA is not supported.
• Voice control through Alexa or Google Assistant is not supported directly.
• Select the correct Tuya or Zigbee2MQTT version before ordering.

ZIGBEE2MQTT TROUBLESHOOTING

If the device cannot be added to Zigbee2MQTT, make sure you are using an up-to-date Zigbee2MQTT version. After updating, reset the sensor and try pairing it again.
